I was taught the opposite. There are people who believe in Biblical Creationism but that the world is indeed changing..evolving..So, they believe the book of Genesis, but also believe the world has evolved since then.

 

Yeah, I was "taught" the same thing. But recent studies have shown what I have posted here to be true. Now, ME personally, Well....The bible says it took God seven days to creat the world.....However, IIRC, Days 1-3 had no time frame as to how long they were. Days 1-3 could have been 40 million years, or 40 seconds. I won't know until I get upstairs to ask.


Also, the WORLD may have evolved, but MAN and most major animals have not. We did not "evolve" from monkeys or apes. No, we were made.......Just the way we were supposed to be made.

No they don't, you've got it backwards. Creatonists and the church were forced to accept Intelligent Design rather than Creationism. Because you know, logic and religion are 100% incompatible.

 

You realize that there are mountains of solid information defending the theroy of evolution of man from an ape-like creature?

While we can't observe evolution in its natural state in complex organisms like us in realtime (because it takes too long), the exact same behavior is exhibited by things like germs, which reproduce about once every 20 minutes. Evolution. Its a god-damn fact.

1.the doctrine that matter and all things were created, substantially as they now exist, by an omnipotent Creator, and not gradually evolved or developed.

Intellegent design is what again? Oh yeah, the same thing!

I SHOULD , however, re-phrase my previous statement. SCIENTISTS (not necissarily evolutionists, although some are) are now thinking that there may be something to intellegent design.

I dont see why I should belive some opium heads that wrote a book thousands of years ago...how can one prove that everything in these books are even fact and not some shit that people made up and retards started to belive? its called mass hysteria people and I think the world has a huge case of it.

 

Opium heads? Never heard THAT before when refering to the different authors of the Bible. However, allow me to try to help here.

1) Even IF some of the people who wrote the different books WERE opium heads, how is it that one book shows referances to another which was written by a seperate author? Matthew, Mark, Luke, John to name only a few. However, there are referances to the new testament which are made by old testament authors.

2) The things written in the bible are what they are. You have the wonderful power of "choice". You can "choose" to believe them or not. There is just one stipulation.....If you're living like there is no heaven or hell....You better be right.

3) The "media" of those times was not what it is today. There was no way for people to communicate across the nation. Which would have been the only way for multipul people to have the same "story", unless they all saw the same thing yet at different places. In todays age, it is hard for one person to make a lasting impression that will be talked about in just one CITY, let alone one whole state or a whole country. Try to do that with just one person (Jesus) in an age without ANY electrical aides or mass media.
