Default What's the story on this GT?

Someone on here may know the PO or was the PO.
2004 Ford Mustang GT Convertible 5str

It looks ALOT better in the pictures. Bumper has a bad repaint, some scratches on decklid. I dont know what everyone elses gt looks like under the hood, but the paint is very strange, like real chalky. It has bbk intake, shorties and maybe pullies.

Only 33k, but im sure those are not the original tires and they are already needing replaced.

Its an automatic convertible that looks like its been rode hard and put away wet.
Its at a shiesty used car dealer's lot.

Its priced a little high for its condition.

Personally I would look else where.

buddy of mine has the same color, his is a coupe though not convertable. the color actually looks really good if it is kept up. and i believe it only came as an option on the 2004 gt premium 40th ann. edition. so it at least has some rarity to it.

as far as it goes for the money, i don't think it's too bad a price. but do you really want an auto vert?

Personally I like the color too. I saw an 04 Cobra with that came color on chrome FR500 wheel with 10.5's in the back and I was drooling all over it.

But that car and that lot smells like a fish to me.

Usually where there is 1 really nice car on a shady used car lot,.. and their really trying to push that car,.. generally there is something wrong with it.

Doesnt really matter how well the paint is taken care of as long as it doesnt have faded spots and its not worn down to the metal. A days worth of rubbing compound/polishing and a good generous coating of wax will make it sparkle like new.

Then again, most car people I know spend that time on their car every weekend when its still in its "its new to me" stages.
