Aint nothin to be nervous about OR really, "embarrassed" about. Man up and call and apologize for the foul up. People make mistakes, and people forget things from time to time. When they do, they need to own up to them. He owes it to my kid to at least call her and apologize for forgetting to call her to let her know not to wait. That's the LEAST he should/could do. She is truely appreciative of him offering the job in the first place, but just like me, she's a bit miffed that he would just totally blow her off like that after telling her she had the job and to wait for him to call her with a start date.

Typical "Don't call us, we'll call you".

 

 

I told my daughter that if he's doing THIS over something that was out of his control, immagine how he will be as a supervisor.

This is something that a supervisor is supposed to be doing.....not a good reflection on his work IMO.... and ignoring me is only making it look worse.

 

Tim i do apologize but i was told that my boss was holding her app due to lack of experience but still as an option not that he wasn't hiring her and yes one position was taken by a transfer but there is still a position open and we're still interviewing people I do not control the hiring just put my 2 cents in he takes all the apps and contact info and he has the final say not saying its not my fault for not telling y'all that he said that he's still looking but he never told me no either and yes Tommy did show me this and i haven't been near my own computer in the last 2 days haven't been home much so thats pretty much all I'm saying and also i only called her in the 2nd time saying to finish her paper work and send it in to the office based off what i was told

 

Really Tim....kind of a bad lesson. It should be more of, you will work with and for all types of people, and unless you OWN the place, you'll always have someone to answer too

You may want to talk to your boss then, because he told Kalissa that you were supposed to call her to tell her that the position was taken by a transfer. If there is mis-communication between you and your boss, you may want to check into that a little. Just sayin it may be a good idea to ask about it.


?She was told that she had the job....that sux, but understandable. Now for the question of "How does a person get experience if everyone will only hire experienced people?" Dude, it's cleaning. Not that difficult of a job...and it pays just over minimum wage. Hope you guys find that person you are looking for.

 

LOL As long as a person works for someone else, there will be people who don't do their jobs and expect you to cover for them, but won't do anything to compensate you for it. The lesson is valid.

Especially here in Florida. I've lived in many states, and this is the first one where I have experienced this level of "it isn't MY job to do.......". I have found so many people here who will neglect to do their own job, because they know someone else will do it for them.

 

That's the sad part! As much money that comes into this state for tourism alone....If they just close the borders and tax all the illegals thats here being they wont make them leave, we, as a state would be well off!
