Mosi show
I was at last years show. Not as many classic Mustangs as I was hoping to see. The majority of cars were just regular everyday cars. There was a chromed Shelby Cobra kit car that was kinda cool.
I dunno. I'm from the old school days when a car show was mainly anything 72 and older. Different today,.. I guess I'm expecting something spectacular when I see modern cars in a show and get disappointed when I dont see it. Was a few really nice cars. But you can see the same thing any Saturday night if you know where to go. Maybe I'm just crotchety in my old age LOL.

Good show today. My only complaint would be the show is getting over run with people that go down to Ford buy a Mustang and drive it strait to a car show. Seriously I was walking around thinking Bill Currie Ford filled the car show up with a bunch of lot stock.
I met a few of you at the show and it was nice meeting you all.

Thats pretty much the point I was trying to make.
When I was really young and up until about maybe 10 - 15 year ago I'd bring a car to a show (Usually my father inlaw's 49 Chevy coupe or when he had his 49 Merc I loved that one too) and then I would mingle with other contestants. I would ask a question about the car and these were genuine car people. They could answer everything I asked because they built the car.
The trend I noticed within the last 10 years or so when you ask someone about a car,.. even an older sled or rod the owner couldnt give me a direct answer. They would reply,.. "Oh thats how I bought it". Where is the pride in that? And many many people will buy a Cobra or Z06 off the show room floor and then put it in a show. I dont give these cars a second glance. Garage queens bore the hell out of me. People just dont have the same pride or enthusiasm that used to be all the rage at car shows. I mean we'd do poker runs, BBQ's, drag racing, one event you had your wife or person of choice hanging out the window and their job was to spear rings hanging from a string as you drove by. Who ever had the most rings won a prize like a case of oil or something. Car shows used to be a lot of fun. I dont get that anymore. Not like it used to be. Maybe its just me. But car shows today are more about the have's and the have not's vs people just having fun and getting together at various shows each year.
