HA WILL, IVE MET U BEFORE I HAVE A BLACK 03 COBRA. I CAN TELL YOU A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE COBRA IS THE IRS WEIGHT AND WHEELHOP. LOWER GEARS MAKE IT MUCH WORST. THE BEST IS TO SWAP TO A SOLID AXLE WITH 373 RATIO. PUTTING LOWER RATIOS IS NOT NEEDED TRUST ME. THE IRS WILL SNAP HALFSHAFTS AND BLOW A HOLE IN YOUR REAR CASE WITH LOW GEARS AND DRAG RADIALS IVE SEEN IT. THE 4V MOTOR RESPONDS WELL TO INTAKE AND EXAUST MODS MUCH BETTER THEN 2V MOTOR. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BE FAST AND RELIABLE THEN GO TO SOLID AXLE AND SAVE WEIGHT TOO. SUB FRAME CONNECTORS ON THAT CAR HELP WHEEL HOP SO DO LOWING SPRINGS, BECAUSE THEY PUT THE AXLES MORE LEVEL AND THE LOAD IS MORE EQUALLY PLACED, JUST BE CAREFULL HOW HARD YOU LAUNCH WITH DR's. I HOPE THIS STUFF HELPS.

Well, losing weight over the rear end wouldn't be a priority (especially compared to the cost involved in a straight axle swap). Rear seat delete would be good, but it won't save a bunch of weight and I doubt Will is looking for that kind of direction.
