Block casting code question time....
I'm confused a bit by the casting code on the engine I just pulled out of my beater.

no dash or anything else.... I was expecting a dash and more numbers.. ?????? Is that normal?
Below it there is a 'CA' and next to it a sideways '9' (with a line under it to denote it as a 9)
Date code is 9A30
