there is at least one minor recall

http://www.blueovalnews.com/2005/adv...ank.031805.htm

Dearborn, Michigan. You pull up to the fuel pump at the local gas station and begin fueling your 2005 Ford Mustang, however, it fills very slowly. The condition may be described as, repeated fuel pump shutoffs when filling the fuel tank. According to Ford, should this condition occur, the fuel tank needs to be replaced.
While Ford has told dealers to replace the fuel tanks, the dealer will only replace the fuel tanks upon customer request. Further, Ford will not notify owners of 2005 Ford Mustangs of this condition.

Your Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer will install fuel tank part number "5R3Z-9002-AA" under provisions of the new vehicle warranty and the Federal emissions warranty.

For more information, contact Ford at:

1-800-423-8851 or 1-800-325-5621 or click here for the Ford directory.

That kind of honesty from a Chevy guy is refreshing.

there was a roush day out at seabring a couple weeks ago, 05 gt stage 2's which is just a gt with tires and suspension were out on the track eating mildly modded 03-04 cobras, after seeing that and driving these cars day in and out my conviction is set
i plan to own a stage 3 or better once they come out in regular production

at the roush dyno day at work back in nov, the dyno engineers were talking about how they mapped the stage prototype to do just slightly over 500hp, they have to down tune it to a extent since ford doest want roush to have a mustang putting no where near the amount as the ford gt, for that type of potential this car has set a new level for ford performance

I still love GM but 03-05 has sucked so far. Ford has done better IMO but GM lowered the bar so far how couldn't they? This is like Ford's Mustang II days, lol!
