That does not surprise me, i wish they would go ahead and set a realease date for the shelby GT500 and a cost. Or even see whats the outlook for other SVT products. Seems like they are still staying with "putting all the eggs in one basket" deal.

Are you saying the Mustang can't compete with a GTO? From what I've seen, they both run mid 13's in the 1/4 mile. The GTO is heavier than the Mustang.

maybe he means looks? I know the GTO does nothing for me as far as body design goes. I mean I never really liked the low sitting in the F-bodies, but they always looked good to me. I dunno, but I don't think the GTO has anything on the Mustang as far as the looks go.

Just my $.02....

The GTO is better this year with the hood scoops on it but the rest of the car sucks...especially the back.

Well from my day of drooling on the 2005 gt yellow with all options even the shaker radio....(thanks to graves for letting me drive it)...The cars looks are one of the best I have seen, as far as the int. its a little bit basic and no drinks in the cup holders behind the shifter lol.Went to shift elbow hit the 12 oz can.Shifter feels good easy to find gears and low at a good location.

On to the performance department, Clutch felt really well easy to launch slip and grabs hard! Well the motor felt a little slugish as if the car was really heavy until the 3rd valve kicked in about 4k rpms.Car pulls hard in the rpm range also its geared pretty well , feels like the headers mufflers are holding it back.

All in all a very fun car to drive daily driver and pure sports car!

LOL no no, I am not a GTO fan I mean. GM has no current answer for the mustang IMO. The GTO interior is awesome, but too heavy and looks like a figgin grand-am?? I poke fun where it needs to be poked. At least th 05 has more hp and a little bit better apperance, sigh! See I am not narrow minded the only GM that i really want is a vette(sports car wise).
