When and where was this race?? I need to see video of this...damn..I bet there were some pissed people.

 

At least it happened doing what they were meant to be doing. I personally can't stand seeing them mothballed.

 

Anything can be fixed - but I bet there are some original cars there, like that trans-am boss 302 possibly, and that aluminum AC Cobra that will probably never be the same, or at least will no longer be original. I guess for the cobra, this canbe added to its "history", which is what they say makes certain cobras worth more than others.

A guy on another site said that the onlything salvagable on the AC Cobra was the drivetrain.

 

Chances are if they are "restored" racecars they have been wrecked before. I dont know of too many racecars that have never been wrecked unless they were dragcars...most SCCA Trans Am cars were wrecked on some level when they raced them.
