K-member for the GT
K-member for the GT
I have my choices down to two turbo systems for my GT and both require new front suspension components ( coil-overs, k-member, etc.). Will the installation of the k-member require me to lift the engine out of the engine bay?

Ok, good. Both kits are pretty strait forward and require almost no mods (except for front suspension). They are just very time consuming, which is ok by me.

I just did this job yesterday. You can support the engine with a hoist, but unless you have one that hangs from the ceiling its going to get in the way.
What I did was put the car up on 4 jackstands, and then run a jack in from the rear and put it under the bellhousing and jack the engine up a bit that way. That way you arent laying under the car tryng to work with the rack with the legs of a cherry picker running under your back.
