Hahaha, Sam called me yesterday. They are done. I'm having him put in some custom turbo cams, so that just added on almost another month to get money up.

I wanted to do the covers the first time around but i was rushing. This time i'm not going to rush as nothing good comes from rushing. I could have saved myself 1k easy if i did the bronze guides and SS valves the first time.

I also need to get some guages to monitor water temps and oil pressure. I have to get this overheating thing under control quick. If this one gives up the ghost, i'm done for a while.

I'm also going to try and get the front end painted. Not to much money but just more time. All my reasons for rushing have passed so im going to take it easy now.

 

Good idea. Cause, its sounds like you rush everything and then when its done you dont have the $$$ to pay, then the parts just sit. What cams are in the heads now?

 

I was cutting corners so i could save money the first time. Because i had NO car at all. And no car i cant get to work, no work = no money = no anything. I was going to have sam do the heads the first time, but he said he was real busy so i took them else were as it didnt look like time frames would work. As you may know shit happends, plans change, and unforseen events unfold.

The shop that did them said they would pay for it, but the heads already had the guides removed. So i lost out on about $400 their.

It was also nice how i got screwed for over $200 to have the heads heli-coiled. I was quoted $100 and that turned into just under $400

They have 03 cobra cams right now. For this setup they sucks so bad it's not even funny. Big difference from the 98 cams.
