Now for the track day information:
The event will take place Sunday August 11th starting at 9:00a.m. and going to 2:00p.m.. (weather permitting)
The far east gate will open at 8:00 a.m..
The track will be prepped to superglue standards and maintained throughout the day.
When you arrive go to the front of the staging lanes first and sign the waiver the track requires and then they will check you in and give you a number to put on your car. If you do not have white shoe polish to write the number on your window, they will have some and so will other people.
We can BBQ while we are there and there will most likely be food for sale (check back on that later). The snack bar will not be open and NO ALCOHOL WHAT-SO-EVER ! I will be bringing a lot of drinks but feel free to bring some just in case. You can always take your leftovers back home.
We will have access to the first and second floors of the air conditioned timing tower so you can get out of the heat if you want. We will also have a EMT because it is required by the track.
Radials WILL BE ALLOWED in the left lane. The right lane will be for slicks the majority of the time unless two radial cars want to race each other. But you can run slicks in both lanes.
Here are a few track rules for some of the newer people:
If you WANT or NEED to do a burnout do it in or just past the water box, not anywhere near the staging area (close to the tree). Make sure to drive between the water boxes and then back the rear tires into the water. This will keep from getting excess water on the track and keep the traction at a premium. If you DO NOT WANT or NEED to do a burnout pull through the middle of the water boxes to keep from getting water on the track and proceed to the staging area (tree). Once again no dry burnouts near the tree.
Timeslips will be given back at the starting line, not at the turnoff road. This is different than usual I know but that is one less hand they will need at the regular timeslip spot and in turn that helps keep the cost down. You will be given a number and that number will be on your timeslip so you can get it from the starter when you go back up or you can have a friend pick it up. The times WILL be displayed on the tower. If you need to run N/T (no time on the scoreboard) e-mail me and I will discuss it with the track. This is supposed to be a easy going fun event so there is no real reason for anyone to run N/T.
This will be a good time for you people that have never been to the track because you can learn from some of us ask questions and not look like a fool in front of a full house of people like you would have on a regular test and tune day.
If it is raining that morning (God Please No) CALL THE TRACK FIRST BEFORE LEAVING. The number is (941) 748-1320. We will have a make up date if it rains out. But hopefully that will not happen.
Park wherever you like but the track would prefer we stay up near the east edge of the staging area (paved area) but please do not block the inner lanes. Plus if we all stay in the same area we can talk to each other much easier. If you are bringing a car hauler stay in behind the restroom area but up near the stands if possible.
E-mail me with any questions or comments (nosgears@yahoo.com)

Come find me and introduce yourself. I drive a 1990 Maroon LX Hatch with Weld wheels and now a white cowl hood. I will probably be running around like a madman making sure everyone is having a good time, hopefully I get to make some runs.
I think I have covered everything but if not e-mail me with any questions or comments (nosgears@yahoo.com) or send me a PM.

To everyone that is on the fence about this event. All I have to say is that if it is anything like the last one that was Ford only that it will be one of your best track experances ever.
The track is preped top notch and you will harly ever if not ever wait to make a pass.
The last event was a huge success and there have been changes made to make this one even better. I promise you it will beat any test and tune you wil ever go to.
If you are not running or don't have a car fast enough to qualify to run, then at least come out to watch. We all really enjoyed seeing some faces from TR out to watch us lay the smack down.
I know for a fact there will be a couple guys from here that will be running making 10sec passes if not 9sec passes. A number of guys will be running in the 11s and so on. Also, there should be a car out doing some nice wheel stands (Scott) which is always a croud pleaser.
Just to say again the last one was great and lets try to make this one even better.

Since there will be no beer, whose gonna bring boobs? Last time at Drag Wars the wet T-shirt contest was bad ass(full nudity) I burned out the clutch, but the memories made it worth while

Everything Mike (4.6 power) said is true. It WILL be the best TnT you ever go to. If you have forgotten, we had a video from the last one. I, unfortunately, am unable to attend, but everyone else should. Scott has worked HARD to make this happen and you should at least go and give him the $5 and spectate if your car can't run within the cutoff.
