Default I need some input.

Ok i just picked up a fiberglass hatch and thought i was doing good, now that i have started reading some more forums and got alittle more indepth into it, i have notice people saying fiberglass is not the way to go. that it cracks the paint from the openers ect. i need to know what everyone thinks before i go spent more money on something that will crack the paint and possibly break.?

Why do you need a fiberglass hatch ? Wouldn't replacing the glass alone with lexan be cheaper and easier ? With the same results.
