2001 Black A4 1.8T dose any one know the goods and bads of this car?

They're supposed to have all kinds of electrical gremlins and shit too...

 

my mom has an 03 A4 1.8T 5sp and it has been nothing but problems, but it is a very nice car with great handling and braking, and its very slow, but her problems were the radio had problems had to take it to the dearlership to put a special code in to get working again, the aircondition has an extremly bad smell like BO, and still does after being repaired 2 or 3 times, the turn signal lamps had to be replaced because of electrical problems, and the fuel pump was constantly screwing up

but all of this was on the newer model of the A4 than what you are looking at, the change happend in 2002

 

from what i have heard they are somewhat problematic... but they are very nice cars and they do drive very well. i would venture to say maintenance would be higher than the denali.

 

Always keep what you have unless u have problem- DON"T MAKE A PROBLEM for yourself- Just keep feeding it gas lol

Dont tell ME that sub 2.0 4cyls cant make torque

Otherwise yes, you have to take care of it...sometimes there will be problems

 

man I didnt know they were a POS....I need a car with a little power to pull my small trailer & Quad....I love my truck but man the gas is killing me and its not that I dont have the money for Gas...I just cant see the point in spending $50.00 a week when all I do is go to work with it...if I could sell it and not have to get a nother car I would car pull with chelle and get a GSX-R 1000 for my self...but I cant find any one who want it all I want is take over payments / what I owe...if I could find any one even kinda who wants it I would drop a nother 500 on the payment just to knock the Price down...

 

if you get one, make sure and get one with a warranty. if not, you'll be shelling out more money then you do for gas to drive the truck.

 

get an s10 if you want to haul with good gas mileage
