Last night at track day I found out time travel is possible
add a +1 to the not happy list.
That is the first time my car has ever driven through a water box, also I thought the event was limited to 100 cars. I started seeing cars with #111, 120 etc around the time these huge lines happened. I thought the reason sponsors were brought into these events was to lessen the greed factor. I guess I tripped into the same worm hole.

The numbers above 100 I'm assuming were for those of us that registered at the track when they announced 25 extra slots were open.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

do you think they're trying to kill everyone?
thats ridiculous, id rather race on the street than at the track with wet tires.

I can absoloutly see where you guys are coming from. Were gonna have scott talk to some people at the track to find out why things turned out this way and what we can do to make sure this doesnt happen again. Perhaps we need to lowe the number of cars, I believe were over 100 now which almost defeats the purpose of these events which is to get a maximum amount of seat time. We are definately lookin into it though.
Second point i'd like to make is that this was event number 11, so we've had 10 reasonably sucessful events prioor to this. this isnt the rule, its the exception and we will work with BMP to make sure our events keep being as sucessful as they have been in the past. If anyone wants to take a stance of "well thats it i'm not coming to any more events" .. thats fine.. more open spots for the people who arent so quick to throw an idea ot because of one bad experience in 10. That being said i've heard it was pretty sucky and we are going to try to work out what happened and get it fixed. Look for a post by scott on this subject soon.

I was wondering wtf was up with going through the water box. When i got up there, i asked the guy and hes like yeah go through it. I was like on street tires? he said yeah, so i did... ran an amazing 14.9 on that run (the one against you dyingfetus)
Yup, worst track prep, and management ever at one of these events. Been to many of the others, and this was definately the exception.
Zate, I do believe the whole problem was in the sheer # of cars running. Take that down to where we used to be, and there is no rush to get as many thru as possible by sacrificing safety and track prep. Now, why they closed early...well, that is gonna have to be taken up with BMP managment, and I have all the faith in the world that Scott can more than hammer his point across to them.

Zate,
I think there are two big things to bring out of this is.
1. People value higher qualty runs over the sheer number of runs (once the novelty of going down the drag strip has worn off).
2. While we may be able to run 100 or 125 cars with short lines when all goes well, WHEN there's a major delay (like last night) it'll back things up so far that there's no recovery.

well, trying not to stray off topic, but i saw many people just drive through the water boxes earlier around 5-6, on radialed cars. a old 300zx and a couple others off the top of my head. so yea, some people were stupid, but from a patron's point of view, i paid for 5-10, i paid for a prepped track, i paid for staff with common sense not to endanger people. i've had their staff ask me not to pull through the waterbox at a TnT due to my front tires, which i totally agree with, but to make everyone drive through the water boxes?
