I did a dry John Force burnout (No line lock yet) and after taking out a cone, told staff that I was liable to kill someone if they dont put water down next time out. They sprayed water the next run for me at least.

Scott, thanks for speaking in our behalf...You do represent well.

good letter scott, and thanks for putting these together. if it wasn't for TR Track days, I wouldn't bother going to the track at all. you run a good show.

Very well written Scott! I was also pissed about starting to run@5:30,the water box, then closing the staging lanes@9:30.
HOWEVER, you guys that put this together did great work! I ran my car 9 times, and my wife ran hers 14 times.
Been around drag racing for awhile, and have never been to an event where the track officials didn't do something stupid to piss at least a few off. That is what I consider "normal".
THANKS SCOTT!

Good job on writing that one out. Hopefully in your next round of negotiations for the next event everything can be worked out.

I was wondering why everyone was being routed thru the water box when some were on street tires.

Pre Pay is an excellent idea. I am sure this will settle many of the issues of some coming in late and losing thier spot to run. If accounting and keeping track of things is an issue, please let me know if I can be of help.

Maybe a restructuring of the event help is an idea that you could use volunteers from TR help you with. From checking people in, a short information guide, assisting with the track crew, etc.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Unfortunately I was one of the late comers that was pre-registered, but I got all the runs I wanted so I was satisfied...
