I don't think Muscle cars could ever come back fully. Modern emissions require so many chokes and controls be added to the engines these days that it kills most of what the muscle car era was about. It's not like a 1972 Challenger where you could rip the intake off, stick a high rise on with 2 4 barrels, and just spew gas down the track, you know? You definitely won't be seeing any of these cars coming with aftermarket, dealer installed big blocks like you did back in the 60's.

looks great..but i think it can be a great car..
older cars were simpler and more straight forward..but lacked in technology
i saw a review in some magazine new charger r/t vs old charger r/t
new charger raped it pretty bad..4-wheel drum brakes arent very good for performance..
variable valve timing..displacement on demand..better transmission all add up to a better car..

but for the "badass" factor..classics never die
i look forward for this "challenger" to come out..because i am somewhat disappointed by teh charger

Why is Dodge so eager to bring back the muscle era?

I don't get excited until I see them first hand. Most times it's a big let down. If there nice I may be ready to trade the Stratus in by then.

I'm not a big fan of the new cars being produced, but at least it's not a bubble like most of the new imports.

they raped some pretty good money out of the SRTs because when u finance them for any thing over like 10% there like 34gs tottal.thats ludachris that they can charge that much, grante thats with a high apr but still alot of people went that way of buying them.it probley takes 1/4 of that to build them.they made good profit on alot of cars to because they basically have 3 motor platforms.hemi,v-10,turbo 2.4, and mabye like another.lol
