f that excuse BS. Tell him unless he can show you the statute he is full of shit. haha OWN his ass in court. I doubt he shows up cause he WILL look like an idiot if he does, judges are damn good at doing that to people who are

note to self: if i get pulled over for flashing someone, tell the officer that you were trying to turn on the wipers, and make sure to turn them on while getting pulled over.

 

Well.. I did think up a good excuse actually because I was stuck behind a guy in an old pickup truck pulling a rather large horse trailer that was doing approx. 30mph in a 45mph zone (and thank God for him too cause he probably saved my ass from getting caught in the speed trap myself)
Anyways I told the officer that I only flashed my lights at the guy pulling the trailer to let him know I was about to pass him... but he didnt believe me (imagine that.. ) and gave me the ticket anyway.

 

For real. Since flashing is against the law now, maybe I'll just print "SPEED TRAP AHEAD" on an 8"x11", staple it to a stick and keep it in my door pocket.

 

Ya know I actually thought about doing that too but then they would get you for holding it up while driving and say it is an obstruction of view or some other bullshyt like that.

 

do it do it..... and please take pics of the sign. maybe you can start something and it'll catch on and everyone will start using it! that would be great!

 

Yeah that is bullcrap once i went around a train rail that was down I waited about 4 or 5 minutes then went around it next thing I know Im being pulled over. The cop gives me a ticket for failure to obey traffic control device train crossing. I took it to court the cop showed and the judge asked if I went around the rails I said yes then he asked the cop if he went around them and he said yes, the judge made me pay my ticket and gave the cop a citation as well for the same thing. Thats my asshole cop experience.

I’m sorry that you had to pay the ticket, but Kudos to the judge for giving the officer a ticket for doing the same thing.
Sometimes they think they are above the law. As for a statute for flashing your heads lights I’m still trying to find one .. haven’t found it as of yet. My mom works in Radio for TPD and she asked a few of the officers there about it and they said that they don’t think there is one ..Which would explain why the officer wrote the ticket up under Improper Equipment..but how does me flashing my headlights qualify as improper equipment??
