that applies to flashing lights, not lights that YOU flash. flashing lights are ones you turn on and they flash on their own, if you flash them then its a regular light that you turn on and off, and if you can't turn them on and off then there is an issue. They would have to make a law stating how fast you could turn them on and off, then the cop would have to time it....blah...blah blah. the cops a prick who was pissed because you were trying to help out other motorists.

but thats not in Florida.
In Florida the law says:
7) Flashing lights are prohibited on vehicles except as a means of indicating a right or left turn, to change lanes, or to indicate that the vehicle is lawfully stopped or disabled upon the highway or except that the lamps authorized in subsections (1), (2), (3), (4), and (9) and s. 316.235(5) are permitted to flash.

Thanks for the information m3nac3chic .. I was looking at the fl state statutes link you posted and also noticed that it says

(10) A violation of this section is a noncriminal traffic infraction, punishable as a nonmoving violation as provided in chapter 318.

He stated to me when he handed me the ticket that it is a moving violation. Which from the statutes you posted it is in fact considered a nonmoving violation.

Im gonna print a copy of both the court case you post as well as the statutes you posted to take with me when I go to court.

Thanks again

If he wrote you a ticket for "Improper Equipment" and that's what it says on the ticket just go to court and say there is nothing illegal about your headlights they came like that on the car they work and there is nothing "Improper" about them. Then the cop can't do shit he's just a pig looking for his next donut what an idiot!!

Thats like giving you a ticket for stopping a rapist from raping some chic, if you'd let them rape then the cops would be able to catch him, instead of stopping the illegal act before hand.

total B.S.

also, if the law says its a nonmoving, and he gave it to you as a moving violation, it'll automatically get thrown out anyways.
