dont go running from unmarked cars. You did the right thing and won the legal way. All a unmarked car has to do is follow you long enough to get a marked police unit behind you. If you do see lights flashing behidn you yours supposted to slow down to let the officer(i hope) know that you see hes there and pull in to a safe location. If you do run you are breaking the law and it is a felony to run from a police officers so they can catch you.

What i have heard is that after a certin speed unless there is a major conviction that even marked cars arnt allowed to follow you but for so long and at a certain speed.

Well being that I am FEMALE and not MALE I probably couldve pushed the issue of not pulling over for an unmarked car and actually I made him follow me about a mile all the way to my driveway which is where I pulled in and stopped and that's only because my gate was locked.. if not I wouldve just drove on in (I have a long driveway) and wonder if he wouldve been brave enough to follow me in on private property for sucha stupid thing as flashing my headlights

Hmm so how is it illegal if it clearly states within the Florida Driver Handbook to blink your headlights to let the other driver know you are passing?

I can't see it being illegal when truckers do it all the time to let other truckers know it is safe to change lanes.

Hell I flash my lights at truckers as a courtesy to let them know they can get infront of me.

So what if you are slowing traffic down, isn't it what they are doing?

I swear man, they are so up with thier double standards.

I do 55 mph in a construction zone and watch them pass me all day long at 70 mph or higher.

I watch them turn on thier lights just to not wait at a stoplight.

If the cop wrote it wrong it will be thrown out, too bad you can't go back and invoice him for the amount of money for the time he took of yours on something so pointless.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

How often have you seen a sign on the side of the road that says "speed radar enforced"? Thats a warning put up by the DOT clear as day to warn drivers of upcomming radar. Flashing your lights is the same thing. I'd fight that ticket any day too.
