I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

The old porsche in your first set of pictures is the Porsche 962. Very rare. Because of it's popularity back then they made a limited production of them called the Dauer 962 Lemans. Just thought I would share. Those are some killer pics.

it's not a 962, it is a 956 (which eventually evolved into the 962). the 962 has a lower rear wing.
the dauer 962 le mans was not really built due to the popularity of the 962.
it was built because the FIA rewrote the rules to outlaw the dominating 962 in around 1989 (forget the exact year offhand), so this company called dauer made the car street legal and put them for sale for homologation so they could run the 962 in a production-based class. the dauer 962 then won le mans. this was in 1994, i think.
