police treat you totally different when you are military, you can get away with alot of stuff because police respect that you have a job similar to them, that you are willing to die for your country. but also when you get older, police treat you different as well. also, i never riced out my accord, so that probably helped as well.

 

my cars not rice though, only thing thats diffrent from stock is that its lowered. Yes its loud but its a rotary, i have dual 1.5" tips on the back.

 

I wonder, when your motors blows and spews its fluids everywhere...if you're near a cop, will he write you a ticket for 'littering' and then give you an exhaust ticket for shits and giggles as well?


Really people, think about it. These 'exhaust' tickets midas well be called ricer tickets. Think of it as a Pigouvian tax for owning a muffler which emits a suond that pisses everyone off.

 

Hah, good way to look at it. Never had I got any attention from the cops in the Supra until the day I took it down, where it sounded horrible, ran horrible, and was doing terrible. I wouldnt say he pulled me over really, since I was pulling over anyways, and only mentioned the exhaust. "You could just get a silencer you know, they are pretty cheap"

"Nah, I hate it too, I'm getting rid of it" . Sure enough, I sold the damn exhaust maybe a month later. It didnt sound too bad, but it helps to actually have some displacement too..a 3.0 engine isnt going to sound as shitty as a...1.6/1.8 with no stroke and a poorly matched exhaust with no resonator

Even then, stock exhaust on the Miata and the Corolla sounds quite excellent. The biggest problem is just matching the exhaust correctly with your engine without sounding like a total shit weed wacker

 

I know alot of the guys who posted here remember when it wasn't the imports being pulled over and harassed all the time but the the mustangs and camaro's.

OK. If you toss trash out on the road, it's not a naturally occurring event, and they call it "littering".

I don't acutally know/care about the littering ticket. You MIGHT be able to get a ticket for improper equipment or something, or be made to clean your mess up if they wanted to be dicks. I just like to make fun of how wankles like to blow up.

As for pissing people off...Absoultely not, but it sure makes people want to take advantage of any law that lets them fuck with you. Hence why the cops can and do take advantage of everything they can. If I was a cop I'd harass the piss out of cars like that.

 

I got pulled over 2 nights ago on belcher, between park and brian dairy. Was going 61... Thought the limit was 55, its 45. Told the cop how fast I was going and what I thought the limit was. He let me go for being polite and honest.
