Just proof that when you produce a lot of cars, you will have lots of recalls....big numbers equals more media coverage. Honda, toyota, Nissan, etc all have had their fare share of recalls, but you never heard about it, They've enjoyed the low profile, because 10,000 cars recalled is not nearly as big of a story as 100,000 cars recalled.
Meanwhile the big 3 get more media coverage, Why? Because big numbers (lots of cars made) mean more media coverage when they are recalled. I know...working in media, that's how the media works.
Now that Toyota is enjoying a very successful period, they will have to try to survive the trappings of their success. Welcome to the big leauges Toyota.

propaganda by gm. this is bullshit. GM used undercover spys to work at toyotas plants to sabatoge them directly. Gmissannault is doing this to destroys toyotas good name.

please, how can they recall 416,000 echos and priuses. did they make that much? i dont think so.( who would buy all those?)

toyota is a small volume manufacturer, i doubt they make that amount of cars.
