Mitsuoka Orochi

"Japanese automaker Mitsuoka has revealed the production version of it's unique-looking mid-engined Orochi sports car, along with the car's production plans, pricing, and specifications. The Orochi, named for an eight-headed serpent out of Japanese folklore, first appeared as a 2001 concept car, and from the looks of things, the production vehicle stays very true to the concept. The Orochi was introduced at a press conference that opened with a Kabuki show (above right), during which a white example of the sports car was driven onstage."

I saw this story on Digg this morning, and was blown away by most of the digger's being accepting of it, even liking it. Now granted most diggers are not car guys, but wtf, this thing is god awful, is the general public this bad at liking cars?

my thoughts on this crap cake, I cant believe we have gotten to the point of accepting "supercars" to have 230 BHP.

 

Sounds like they are trying to compete with lotus.

lotus, might not be a super car but it can beat a vette zo6 around a track and it only has 190hp....

 

But yea, that thing is damn ugly

what a waste of a unique (funny looking) design

 

ya know if ya cover the front bumper with your hand it kinda reminds me of a Mclaren F1

 

ugly color... the bump in the front bumper is the worst
