OR get a DD that offers you a level of comfort far above a sports car, and have a badass sports car for when you feel like getting into trouble. Its not always about expenses - I personally will NEVER drive a sports car as a DD again, just because I'd rather be sitting in a luxury car.

BTW, I don't work at Mcdonald's either, just for the record. And I'll have myself a 9 second car here shortly. If I ever tried to drive that thing daily...I think I'd commit suicide.

My daily driver is a beat to hell 91 mitsubishi mighty max pickup. My other car is a 68 mustang. its my weekend car call me a twat if you want but look down the sides of my car, at one time it was perfect. all new sheetmetal, new paint new chrome look at it now I can find you a dent on EVERY body panel. NONE are from me, Ive gone through the body 2 times, this is my third, its been side swiped by a car parked next to me, door dings ALL around, the sad thing is, you will have never seen the car in ANY parking spot but the very back row against the curb any place I go. if there arent door dings theres small dents from hail. or dents in the quarter panel from someone kicking it. I gave up. I bought the car when I was 12, yes me not my parents and bought every part for it and did 95% of the work myself (headliner and the sideswipe was fixed by a professional) I started mowing yards when I was 12 incase you happened to wondered how a kid paid for a $450 dollar car. But for the year I drove the car I enjoyed it and still miss driving it all the time. But for me Ill stick to driving the mightylax.

oopsies I just read page 2 and see I would be part of the groups that would be considered twatish... at least I dont think so.

Fuck it, call me a twat. I always had another vehicle (usually a truck or SUV) There was a point in time when I drove a 4-linked, caged, tin-flored, 5-point harnessed, open header having, lenco shifted, about 3-miles a gallon on c12($4 a gallon then) as a "daily driver". It sucked. Bought a truck as backup after 3wks of that shit.

Im a hardcore racer through and through, but that billy-badass shit dont last that long. Its harder to get pussy when your date is goin comatose from fumes, or crying cause of noise.

Theres no reason to suffer to be able to skreet-race on your way to publix. I currently drive a POS 95 V-8 cougar daily and its the most pleasant thing i've had out of this list:

Rare 1989 Ligenfelter LT-5 Vette (still for sale in Port Charlotte)
88 s10 w/406 and N20-caged
83 Buick Electra
84 Regal(mentioned above)
94-s10
94 Mazda MX-6 (as a long distance driver)
98 Camaro Z28
01 Dakota-4cyl Stick
04 Dakota-4.7l and a 5-speed
03 Tahoe LT

Driving a badass car on the streets is never "financially intelligent", but you guys will learn the same tough way I did.

PS-"Badass"=at least a 10 sec et

i dont have to worry about bumper to bumper traffic cause i work hours when nobody is on the road. although i am trying to change all this in a couple months, so i can stay away from tickets and so i can do alot more to my car without having to worry, so i can see where most of you are coming from.......

I still dont get it...I'd like to know reviews and little shit like that before I purchase a car. Granted I'm not going to buy a car of that caliber and piss and moan about how it rides while keeping it.

I understand many of these cars arent meant for DDing, and I'd like to know in what ways they arent when reviewed. Car guys tend to be able to tollerate oh-so-much more than luxury car owners in return for speed/handling capabilities.

As I had said, if I were to concider a car, it will be capable for daily driving, which everyone has different tollerances of. I can tollerate bumpy ride, loud exhaust etc. etc., but I dont want it to be so low it scrapes or overheats in traffic. What good is a car if you cant use it?

well, that is the point of this whole thread. It's not about someone test driving a miata, its about SPORTS CARS being put down for being too harsh for grandma and speed bumps.
