I can already tell you, that's not the problem. The problem is in the photographer. The new Kit Lenses are actually quite good.

ive been in photography for about 5 years now, nothing too long. but i know how to use a camera to a point where im confident i can create much better pictures with a different lens. that picture was taken mid-day (on my only morning off) with an 18-55 lens and no UV filter. also, no post processing. not saying that your completely wrong. but i dont know anyone who prefers working with a stocker.

couple with some borrowed lenses. 20 degree day here in new england. on the water with no tripod, just two lenses ive never touched before that day.
