I wasn't aware the made a second model, the orginals were based of the "MX" tire which was axed over three years ago.

Its still a low volume, small scale tire that didnt require anything other than some die added to the rubber compound.

the whole cambered tire question was beat to death about 4 years ago in the VIP scene and with many of the VW guys. Making a tire with treaded inside side wall has been discussed for a VERY long time as well. As stated, it won't happen for such a small market. If they could add food coloring (essentially what they did for the colored smoke) and make it happen, then sure, but it would require an entire new redesign, re tooling of the facory and the entire gambit of testing for safety and passing DOT. Just NOt gonna happen.
