very much true. Cops are tough there. If ya look around, notice that there are nice cars because peeps can afford good decent clean cars.
But still, people hold decent size meets.

oh no, when i was there i never really went to the crappy places. we had the same thing, i was saying since then it has changed/declined. back then there used to be people out almost every night of the week at some points, and i'm talking cars that had to run mid to low 12s to really hang (my car was not fast at that point, but i had friends, so i got in by default hehe).

there used to be parking lots full of specific cars. dsm meet, nissan meet, domestic meet, supras/3kgtvr4/mr2, vw meet. fast hondas were around but weren't really the going out types, that area had so much ********* things rolling around, a 'fast' car really wasn't that fast.

now it seems to be less than it was. i'm sure there are still good times, but its not like it once was. but it has declined everywhere else too, even tampa.

i remember some good nights with alot of the early titan affiliated people, garage advance cars, high single digit fuel sluts. the best was when the titan supra came out, chute and all, with the dually following it around with a big tank of c16 in the back lol. i heard it did a rolling burnout down 50 in front of the domestic corner but i never got to see it

a good 1.5-2 years ago, lakeland peoples went to orlando. there was nothing but the crappy import crowd with nothing entirely too fast. it was still fun in a way, but it wasnt shock and awe like when watching the big dogs assemble in such great numbers.

 

Oh yeah thats certainly true.. Stuff only goes on 2 nights a week here, compared to almost every night in Tampa. That's probably why it's better though

 

I saw a GT40 on that corner one saturday night earlier this year. Sounds sick.

Project cars is what everyone wants to see. Things that only custom parts and designs limited to the shops themselves.

 

Walmart on Jon Young and Oceola? Something like that, Atleast thats where they use to be. They go an exit not far from there off of 1-4 back in some industrial places where all the "Fast Domestics" are, There all cocky as fuck and i cant wait till i go back there.

sand lake and john young. that's the big ricey walmart meet. dear lord it used to have like 400 cars in it, and they all sucked. i never got out of my car, i feared being beat up by gangs and mauled by pit bulls.

that industrial park is lame too. i went a few times, but i almost got hit so i actually parked in a lot across this pasture and could still see everything. plus when the cops came i got to watch everyone scramble and didn't have to do anything. wish i had gotten it on tape, there were people almost getting run down by people fleeing. then a bunch of them drove around the airport area for a while and it was pretty lame. i remember they tried to race once an OCSO pulled up behind them. i dont think the deputy actually believed what he was seeing.

orlando is fun to watch retards, almost as good as tampa. it was much better when orlando and tampa came to lakeland and had a 3 way war.

There are some 'spots' where there are races, they're not normally 'advertised' per se, mainly because we have cops perusing the forums, and people that would open their mouths.

There are TONS of meets/races in kissimmee,osceola,poinciana etc area. Most of the honda crowd is out there; but beware, some guys are out there to peep out under your hood and then your shit will be got.

I've never been to a tampa meet; whats all the hype about?

Orlando has their meets, downtown, some over on the east side, over by UCF, winn dixie over on the west side, etc etc.

Just ask around...
