Joe's dissapeared.
JAPWorks has filed all the paperwork and is waiting on the process to flow which can take up to 120 days.
The Bank which has financed the car has no yet contacted Japworks to discuss any options, so it is unknown if JAPWorks will get paid for the work or have to keep the car and attempt to sell it to recover the $.

We have several trolls and idiots who have shown up on this thread and carried on and on... so reading the last 40 pages is a waste of time.

Enjoy the cliffs.

Best of luck to you guys, I hope you get the mechanics lien, and all works out like it should. Its more than likely better off that joe dissapeared though, less of a chance he can scam anyone else now.

If this thread has accomplished anything (other than attracting trolls) it has accomplished exposing Joe for what he is. Good luck JAPWorks, hope all goes well with you guys.

Well either they have someone on the inside or they are lying about the length of time. The DMV told us very clearly and showed us in the paperwork where it takes 60 days once all the paperwork had been run through the system which in itself could take "up to" 60 days.

Yea a Mechanics Lien is techincally only suppost to take 30 days but, people have to understand that after you file for a lien, send in the paperwork, it takes days to get to its destination. On top of that Whoever is suppost to handle the paperwork could possibly end up taking several days to a week or two to process the paperwork. After paperwork has been processed and then sent back to you with more information it could take up to a few months.

My uncle has his own Auto Shop. We delt with getting Mechanical Liens before when I worked for him. Its a big pain in the butt if you ask me.

Does this make the longest this thread has gone without a bump? Almost 26 hours with no replies?!?

I feel like there should be a way to expedite the process. I wouldn't think that the Florida legal system would want one of it's tax-paying small businesses to go under because of their 60 days wait period on liens.

Then again, I'm sure they get quite a few cheap asses that try and squirm out of repairs..
