Priced: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
The R-Spec model:
Prices start at $22,750 for the base 2.0 liter turbo model, and the 3.8 starts at a shockingly reasonable $25,750! The top of the line Track 3.8 with the automatic costs $31,750.
Watch out Nissan 370Z...
Also, Rhys Millen and Hyundai have developed a 550 HP Genesis Coupe (thanks to a stroker 4.1 liter V6 with a supercharger) that's going to be competing in Formula D, RedLine Time Attack and, coolest of all, Pikes Peak!

Priced: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
The R-Spec model:
...with a 210-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission Brembo brakes and a limited-slip differential.
Gone is the onboard trip computer, Bluetooth, cruise control, steering-wheel audio controls, and chrome interior trim.
Once that cost was taken out, features like 19-inch alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A summer performance tires (225/40R19 front, 245/40R19 rear) could be added back in. The R-Spec also gets a sport suspension with retuned springs and dampers along with front (25mm) and rear (22mm) sway bars and a strut tower brace.
The upgraded Brembo brakes feature four-piston fixed calipers at each wheel, and the ventilated rotors measure 13.4 inches in front and 13 inches in back.
Features left intact include power windows, keyless entry and air-conditioning, plus a six-speaker audio system with a dedicated iPod hookup and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

It sounds like a winner. ...sounds like. 2.0T, 6-speed, torsen LSD, brembos, RE-050A's, that's a sweet spec list for $23,750. That's less than the first WRX, which had way less, but awd. With those specs, it's basically a Silvia S15 Spec-R, which we've been begging for for a decade. The one spec I keep seeing omitted as every car forum ejaculates over the news is the weight. I had to look it up from press releases in 08. It's going to weigh 3450 in the 4-cyl configuration. [cues the "awww" music Price is Right] More weight than a 350Z and 2/3's the power. I'll pass.
Yeah, the V6 one should move out. Just don't make plans to tear up the track in the 2.0T. Although, this 4-cyl is supposed to be based from the same design that made the new EVO motor and SRT-4 motor.

one thing left off the list by Edmunds is the R-Spec only special gearing ratio on it's steering rack
additionaly that's 210hp on the stock low boost motor, just about every aftermarket company has a high boost turbo kit ready to go for it already
