New school domestics vs. imports.....
True, but if you have a good idea what's hot and what's not it pays to pick something nice that's not a dime a dozen and will hold its value better than other cars.
For example one reason I picked my R was that it was a specialized sports model with low production numbers. Even after 3 years and 60K additional miles its still worth about 3/4s of what I paid for it. Though I plan on driving it till it drops, if I do decide to unload it I'll get a reasonable amount of my money back out of it.
99% of the cars on the road are never gonna appreciate but even when it comes to your daily driver it never hurts to pick something that will minimize your losses.

Crazy Camber, Stretch & Poke; its the new triple-stack-bleacher-wing ricer fad that's all the rage nowadays, lol
IIRC the only car that has ever appreciated from new was the Enzo. Everything else depreciates first, so you'll always have a period of loss.
Because of all the dumb asses that kept crashing them. They only made a hand full of them. Didn't Chris Rock wreck two of them during a movie premier ?

It was Eddie Murphy, he wrecked one, and that's not why they appreciated. They appreciated because they only made 349 of them and they were for a while one of the fastest ferrari's ever made. Now its been bested by the 599GTO.

My bad. Eddie Griffin.
Back on topic, supposedly it's good financial advice to go finance your toys. I was raised differently, that you finance when its your last resort, and toys are paid for in cash. Then again, I have a debt settlement company... PLEASE FINANCE EVERYTHING then call me when you're screwed. Please call, I've almost saved enough for my M3
yeah, damn those posters who actually put thoughts and knowledge into their posts that contribute to the discussion, instead of trying to be the next e-comedian and make smart ass remarks to entertain yourself enough to survive your meaningless existence. Talk about something that gets old aft... no wait that shit got old years ago.
