i just noticed that the fenders are more flared on my friend's 1978 930... that's odd.
or at least they look like it.

 

They are bigger than your friend's since a 79 has the early style turbo flares and I have the later style. As you can tell the change is that in the 80's they expanded the flares to hold the larger rubber that was available then.

If my budget did not limit me I could stick 315 mm wide rear tires in my stock rear wells. For now 275 will have to do.

It will be nice that the car will be better able to compete when we get finally get to meet and compete directly against each other.

You might have the opportunity to witness me pwning Leonard if all goes well.
