Default Rebuilt title help?

So i was looking to trade for another car but while reading the thread i notice it has a rebuilt title, so this leads me to my question can it be changed to a regular title? All the repairs have been made on the car the owner says and the frame is still straight. I read on google about a hp-101 inspection? Help or give you opinion thanks

A rebuilt or salvage title cannot be titled differently in the state of Florida

^+1...Rebuilt means it was inspected and approved by the DMV for the car to be able to be back on the road after an accident/theft (depending how severe the case was)...Not all cars that are involved in accidents/theft have a rebuilt/salvage title.

If this was possible in the state of FL just imagine how many cars on the road would be Lemons.

What does a lemon and a rebuilt title have to do with each other?

And to answer the original question, no.

Smashed up cars posing as never been wrecked cars.

Cars that were completely totaled or were totaled in a flood, or fire rebuilt and passing as a vehicle never before wrecked, flooded, totaled, etc..

There are plenty of cars out there with clear titles that have been involved in floods, accidents, etc that weren't properly repaired. At least with a rebuilt title car you know up front it was involved in some type of incident and can proceed accordingly with the inspection, negotiation of price, etc.

To the OP...make sure you take that rebuilt title into consideration for the trade. It doesn't matter if it was repaired correctly, or if it was a recovered theft with no damages, etc. That car isn't worth what an equivalent make/model is with a clear title.

Exactly!!!! That is my point. If we were able to change a salvage/rebuilt title to a regular title just imagine how worst things will become.

you might be able to do something sleezy in Alabama. I know their laws are a lot more lax when it comes to titles and all of that... I don't know for sure if there is a way to do it, but I would look into it if I was trying to get a "normal" title for a rebuilt car.
