Discuss.

Would a LSx drop in to your cradle? Maybe alot of modifing? Gauges? I would stroke your motor. The LSx stuff is way too much $$$$ for what you get... IE... $2000-$3000 for a ported STOCK head, $800 for decent headers, $375-$500 for a good cam.. you get my drift

Nah, You just have to get a carb hat. FordMan, from here, is doing it. You have to do some funky stuff to make a blow through carb work right (unless times have changed).

Hey Carl we're dreaming here right?

Look at the cost to do a fully forged 396 with light enough components to spin it up to 6500-6700 and hydraulic rollers. Maybe a dual stage 150 + 100 on top of it. :o

Then we have the 346 LS6 with heads and cam. Should make power to 7000+. From what I've seen it would drop right in after some work on the mounts. Less weight too. Swap in an LS1 PCM tuned and set up for the 4L60E with a 4400 stall.

Where's the bang for the buck?

True, you do have a point, but you have to start looking at the custom stuff. Custom headers, custom intake tract, different drive shaft, splicing wires.. Just a shot in the dark cause I dont know spuat about a vette

Also, if you build the 396, it will be pretty much bullet proof with all forged internals, etc.. Unless you are talking about building a LS6 the same way and not using a stock one. LSx motors arent too cheap to come by, then your going to change the heads and cam for more money.

A LSx would be neat in a C4 though
