Auto to Stick
do I have to trick the car into thinking its in park?
and is there anything else I should know tricks and what not.

Not really. You need to connect the two 12 gauge wires (black wire with the white stripes) located at the shifter assembly. This is the same circuit that is completed when the shifter is in park or neutral.

Yeah you also have to wire in the revers lights. honda hybrid perf. org tells you how. we just did this to an eg coupe, very easy to switch to 5speed.

Well you always want to run a 5psd ecu with a 5spd swap. The circuit that needs to be connected at the shifter is for the starter to actually engage.
