take the distributer apart and make sure that one, your cap isn't cracked and two that your rotor isn't bending outwards. distributers can start fires it's worth rechecking everything!
on the oil filter, get a kitchen grip holder (flimpsy piece of sticky bumpy rubber), it seems to work.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

thanks
the kitchen holder, i would have never thought of that

for the filter remover, they sell some nice ones at pepboys. they have filter removers that go on a socket wrench, very easy to use.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.

i dont think it is your distributer... get in your car and press your clutch a few times... if it stops when you do this it is your throw out bearing... i have had too many people bring this problem to me and it be the TO bearing... they think it is the distributer because it is just above the noise...

ok what is the throw out bearing ??? i read couple post about it and my clutch feels fine. Other than the fact that i need a new clutch. The clutch pedal is stll hard and not mushy or anything. Only thing i have noticed was switching gears was a tooo a little bit more effort??
