Default i need help bad bad bad

okay i broke my number 1 rod on my ls block a friend of mine gave a rod from his ls block from the number 1 piston i need to know do i need to get the crank balanced or not and i might be getting some high compression pistons and if i use those insted of my ls pistons whould i still have to get the crank balanced i need to know this soon cause i only have the next couple of days off of work and i dont want to put my new pistons on the rods and have my bottom end go out on me agin i want my shit done right so can anyone help me

Balancing wouldn't hurt but it is not necessary. I'd replace the rod bolts with ARP bolts and have the big end resized. Make sure you use the correct bearing size too.

u broke a rod and didnt damage anything besides the rod itself???

just the rod everthing else in the block is in good condition didnt damage nothing internaly
