Default crank angle sensor

ive been having a problem with my crank angle sensor on my 90 civic si. im running a b18b with a pr4 ecu and it is throwing cel 4. i read that when the crank angle sensor goes you gotta change your whole dizzy so i did. got one off a good running 91 ls no codes. swapped it out and it is still throwing. what are teh chances of the ecu actually throwing the code and having my car run in a limp mode. my car idles at 450-500 cold and then like 600-650 hot and runs really rich. if you have any idea or suggestions let me know

did you check the wiring? maybe theres a short somewhere. get a tester and test the wires from the dizzy all the way back to the ecu.

check continuity to ground at c1 to body ground
check continuity to ground at c3 to body ground
if there is not continuity at either of these pins
there is a open in the ecu
then try a different computer

I had the same problem with my swap in my 91 hatch. Just check all the wiring around the ecu to make sure the wires are connected right and not crossed. But my main problem that I had was the knock sensor. It wasn't plugged in right on the ecu and that sent me a code4.
