Default make my 1990 4door ef quick please..lol

I am looking into maybe just fixing up my 1990 civic dx 4door auto with 132k miles. If so, I want to either put a turbo on my engine or do a swap. I am looking to have somebody that has an engine or turbo and install it for me.
Post your location and what you have, and of coarse, price...thanks

What do you want to put in it?

When you get all the parts, get back with me for the install.
I'm in Tampa. -Bob

I'm in Tampa. Labor is $15/hour for a straight swap with
no fabrications.-Bob
$15 an hour for a straight swap sounds cheap. Just curious--you do alignment stuff too, right?

I do quite a few alignments, as well as suspension development
to improve handling. God blesses me with being able to find
low cost solutions...................and for those critics who also charge less than the bigger shops, yet keep saying that "you get what you pay for",
....I charge the critics double....to make them feel good......... -Bob

Does street lowering mean cutting or heating the springs?? And I'm not sure exactly what impact wrenching is??

I'm not trying to be a dick just asking.

Senor Honda answers......
Along with mobile alignments, and mobile welding, the mobile Impact wrenching that I do, is usually using an air-driven high-torque impact wrench to loosen torqued-on hub-to-axle nuts, loosening torqued-on harmonic balancers/crank pulleys, loosening rusted exhaust pipe nuts/bolts, loosening alternator pulley nuts, loosening subframe-to-body bolts, loosening the center nut that holds springs onto a strut and/or a shock absorber for a spring swap, loosening nuts on a suspension
rod that connects to a lower control arm, and anything else that requires an impact wrench to loosen ..............and I can do impact wrenching at remote locations.......

Some people who do their own work and don't own an air wrench ask me to break loose certain nuts/bolts at the location where they are working on their car. Not everyone can drive to a shop, but I can come to them............
--------------------------------------
Street lowering is carefully measuring the suspension and lowering a car
as much as possible down to the point that it will not drag and/or scrape on speed bumps, speed humps, speed platforms or driveways and lowering in such a way that stock adjusters can still be used to set the alignment.
I prefer to use stock springs since stock spring rates were designed to carry the weight of the car, and hard springs cause loss of grip in the turns. Folks who have ridden with me know what I'm talking about.

I have my own portable alignment set that allows me to set alignments at race tracks, parking lots, garages and any place where I have a smooth surface.-Bob

Stock springs are designed to work at stock ride height. Once you alter the height you have ruined the integrity of the spring. Changing a vehicles geometry without the correct suspension pieces installed is harmful and costly in the long run.

Lowering a car and not changing control arms (upper and lower) to adjustable ones is very bad. You now run into severe camber wear. You have now taken and stressed all the points on the suspension.

I DO NOT believe that the correct way to lower a vehicle is to heat/cut springs. As far as impact wrenching goes, I know what it is.....I was just trying to figure out how that can be offered as a service alone.

Forgive me, I'm just a simple engine builder and don't seem to understand the "cheap way" of doing things. And this has nothing to do with me not being creative either.

It sounds to me like a load of BS....I have grown up in the Performance/Racing industry and there is no such thing as cheap performance. Sorry Bob, I just don't buy.

Fist off I would not turbo your current dx motor, the mileage is probably high and you will not make to much power because you will have to run low boost in order not to blow that motor. What I would do if I was you and lets say you are trying to save some money but go quick.
1. Buy an Integra LS motor to start off, it is a relatively cheap swap, I would say if you look hard about 1400 for everything swaped into you car.
2. Since the LS motor is already a lower compression motor it is great for a turbo set up.
3. Those motors have a good amount of torque and you can find a decent turbo to make that motor quick. For example run a garrett 57 trim turbo which you can find used for about $350 and go to the website Treadstone Performance Inc, Turbo Kits, Intercoolers, Turbo manifolds, Silicone hose they have good quality intercoolers, manifolds, blow off valves, pipping etc for a good cheap price.
4. Make sure you tune with Hondata and trust me I have seen these motors at about 8-10 psi making 270-290 on a stock motor which is good for 12's all day.
