Gsr, P30 Pistons, Type R Cams, Good Tune = Hp???

Default Gsr, P30 Pistons, Type R Cams, Good Tune = Hp???

My 94 Gsr Motor Is Getting Rebuild By Yonky Racing Its A 94 Gsr With P30 Pistons And I Have Already Type R Cams (integra I Think) And Adjustable Cam Gears. I Also Have A B16 Tranny Or I Can Go With A Gsr Tranny. I'm Looking For Intake Manifold And Throttle Body And Injectors Too

And I'm Getting It Tuned What Kinda Power Am I Looking At And And What Do You Think I Would Run In The 1/4 Mile Its Going In My 92 Hatch.

Power range of 170-188 whp depending on what header, exhaust & dyno it is tuned on.
1/4 mile time of 13.6-14.3 depending on driver/tires/track condition & ultimate power output....

ok new plan i'm doing all the same but now i'm getting the head ported and polished, will that help me to gain anymore power.

i want to have 200 hp what other small mods can i do to get it

To have a TRUE 200 whp setup, you will need:
1. Quality exhaust manifold & exhaust system design such as smsp
2. Skunk2 pro1 cams or simular, degreed into spec using a degree fixture.
3. 11.8:1-12.0:1 compression ratio with 1-2% leak down
4. Ported cylinder head by alanz or portflow only (recommended).
5. Port matched & ported intake manifold

The 15 whp difference costs a lot

mr vega knows his stuff. honestly to get closer to the 200 whp mark on itr cams youll need to move more air (ie larger displacement). however if your motor is healthy and has good compression id say with a ported head and itr cams youll be close. a friend of mine laid down 187 at the wheels with a stock gsr head and bottom end, bolt ons, cam gears, and tune. but again he had a very healthy gsr. with your displacement itl be hard to make those type r cams get you to 200. youre gonna be in the ball park as far as compression with the p30 pistons. youll need a good header (itr, hytech, smsp, etc...) ive seen many motors make 200 at the wheels with the itr header, but ull also need a good exhaust system. for your app i would get the toda type a cams. they should make 200 whp and they are GREAT street cams with tons of midrange. good luck with the build. it should be a 13 second car.

ok what if i rebuild my 94 gsr with p30 pistons get the head ported and polished, demon motor sports will do it for 600 and they are also the ones who might do the build so i'm kinda stuck with them i found blox stage 3 cams for 300 or i don't think i can afford cams right now and i have dc header with 2.25 inside measured exhaust all the way back with a twin pass obx muffler and b16 tranny.

will those cams make a difference and can i use my stock valves with them,

i will look for the skunk2 intake manny but might not get one till later i will see if he can polish the stock intake manny,
will look for injectors but might be stuck with stock ones the fuel pump sounds strong when i start it i'm sure its after market. why do i need bigger injectors anyway

i want to get it tuned after the build and get intake manifold, better exhaust after words as i get more cash will that be ok

you dont need to port&polishe the head,like side get a nicer cam,go with some 82mm pistons,a nice good intake system and Exhuast,some tt retainers you will make close to what you want
