jdm SIR cluster in civic cx question!!!

Default jdm SIR cluster in civic cx question!!!

the stock cx has no tach in cluster......and the jdm cluster does have a tach, but when i plug it in the tach still does not work.....do i have to wire something for tach since my car originally has no tach?....please help

Some Tachs pick up a signal from the coil.
Some pick up the signal from a specific pin.

You might check which pin in the CRX wiring harness
sends the tach signal......

Some wiring harnesses have the wiring anyway, in case the car
might come with an optional feature.-Bob

if you are obd1 its in the ecu its called the rpm signal wire.. if its not pre wired on to the harness you have to tap the ecu and wire it direct... glwt

ps if you have an obd1 and need the diagram with the pins for ur ecu let me know i have it.. pm me..

i have a cx also and i threw in a cluster with a tach and it works with no problems without any modifying.are u sure your cluster works properly?

i have a sir one with tcs (very rare)
