I am makeing 1 good tranny out of 2. I have a M2S4 and my H22A1. Casing is fucked on the H22A1 so I need the one off the POS H23.

I know all the shiming and stuff so dont bust my chops please.

I have the bearing clip and all the bolts out of this thing, And there is A gap about 1/2inch all around, I have it siting off the input shaft. The thing is loose and moves up and down. But will not let go of the last bit...

Do I have to remove the "shifter" on the tranny itself?. That is what feels to be holding it...HELP?

 

So you do have to take the shifter-joystick-stick-pain in my ass out.

Came out like butter now...gotta rip apart the other one...put it togeather and see if the preload-shimms are outta wack.

????????Anyone know if I can pull the shimms outta the H22A1 casing and use them in the H2S4 tranny (for the LSD) I hear the H23 tranny shims where the open lsd is in the h23 are about a hafe inch bigger or some shit?????????

 

Well now I have all the H22A1 guts in the H23 houseing, But I cannot get the bellhouseing back on.?.?.?.? There is about a 1/2 Inch all around that wont close. And I read that you have to put them togeather to check with a feeler guage how far off the preloade shim's are...help.

Maybe It is the to dowel pin's trying to go into each other....LMAO

I am useing the h22a1 bell houseing and he H23 clutch houseing and there are dowel pins in the same spot...Hope this is it...

Well I have it all togeather and I am going to have Neal shimm it for me. I think I did well for my first time messing with tranny guts. I have some hope for the hopeless!!!
