That sucks. I know those are decent motors too. Good plan with the boost since the sleeves in those motors are supposed to be nice and strong unlike the h22s. Those are iron if I remember correctly. Hone her out and put in some nice rods/pistons/block guard and crank out 12psi...you'll be nothing but smiles lol

That is too bad. We all figured there was an underlying issue as you mentioned to watch the temps because it would overheat while sitting on the dyno. Good luck with the build!

yeah cause stock h22 sleeves only take about 600hp or so. weak...

What most guys/girls don't understand are that stock sleeves are hit or miss. There is no real hp/tq number they can hold regardless what anyone says and/or sees

How do those composite sleeves hold that much hp? Maybe for a single pass on the dyno.

I know what you mean alpha but you also have to agree that most of it is in the tune.

i agree with alpha, but a composit sleeve is stronger than a iron sleeve any day. the pistons are the weakpoint, and thats been proven numerously.

H22 sleeves = F20C sleeves = NSX sleeves = Porsche sleeves

same FRM

and yet there are many 500hp plus s2ks even up to 700, few H22s with mahle pistons making 500-600

thing is, FRM liners were designed to be stronger, lighter, and are better at heat dissipation than iron sleeves.

Think what you want, FRM is stronger than a B series OEM sleeve.

BUT as the above poster said, TUNING iS EVERYTHING.
