Default Non starting issue..92 Acura Integra

I have a 92 integra that does not want to start. The car can be push started, or started if you put a wire from the battery to the starter. I was told when I bought the car the starter was going bad. I did not have any problems and I drove the car all the time, but sometimes I would not start and I would just have to wait overnight and it would work fine, and that only seemed to happen if I drove often throughout the day.
So my clutch went out and we replaced it, and now the car will not start with the key at all..

Anyone have any ideas or experience with this? I have heard ignition, starter, etc.

FYI there are very little grounds in the car for whatever reason (only 1 on tranny, starter)

Thanks for reading..

It could be the ignitor or the coil as they will cause intermittment issues. You can test them before you replace them.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

There are 2 fuses in the underhood fuse box to check real fast. .Check out fuse #30 (80 amp) which sends power to fuse #32 (50 amp) which then sends power to the ignition switch. Then it sends power through the neutral safety switch down to the starter.

Start by bypassing the clutch switch which is at the top of your clutch pedal. Jump the two wires together.(The lower switch is for cruise control)
Try to start car, if start replace switch.
If not see if you are getting 12vdc at the single wire to the solenoid on starter when cranking.
If not sounds like ignition switch electrical portion is bad.
I think Luvsracin87 will be right due to the age of your car.

thinking the Safety switch on the clutch pedal.. Stupid little rubber grommets always like to break and fall out.. like a 3.00 part from Honda.
