I have noticed that a few cars, mostly fron tuners in japan are running like a 45 series tire in front versus a 40 series in the rear. And these cars weret drag cars either. Whats the advantage to this? i read a little on this once but forgot?..thanks

yeah i'm running 215/40 now..need to get new tires just checking out my options. Also the thicker tires in front would help it absorb more bumps right...i.e. less wheel hop..but that would be more for drag racing, but then again it would also help out if i was going through a bumy turn..hmmm..Think i'll stick with 215/40 all around instead of experimenting though..dont have enough cash to be dicking around...thanks

Larger Front Tires will help reduce understeer because their is more contact patch for the Front End to pivot on...Causing the Rears to Break away and rotate...Breakaway limit and speed depends on the rubber compound of the tires...
