It all depends on the circumstance. If you had a shop, and someones car just happened to dissapear from said shop. and a few months later you magicly have the same motor or trans or whatever from that car in your shop. But it just so happens that it does not have numbers.. if you get a detective with a hair up his ass he could impound the car and have them try to retrieve the serial. ( which can be done if not properly ground off so i hear ). one way or another its not fun dealing with cops when you own a shop and your doing shady shit. they can just say "hey thats a chop shop". come in shut you down for the investigation. Customers wouldnt like there cars locked in a shop thats under investigation would they?

Yes, you are correct about that, you can be investigated, cars can be impounded temporarily, and shops closed temporarily for suspicion of possessing or dealing in stolen property, which in itself would certainly suck. But unfortunately, without vin's or serial numbers as proof that property is stolen, you can't prosecute, and a LOT of low life thieves get off.....

Nine grand might be pocket change to you but to me it's a big deal, how about what happened at BVP. Tell me Todd, you know how things went down at BVP involving your car, the lies they told and how they almost put my family and I on the streets. through lies and dishonesty. Its not just the money,it's not just the lies, it's everything. I will come down on them assholes with full force to the day someone gets tired of it and they somehow die.
