The only reason why this is so important to the police and media is because its "high profile" and easier for the police to bust..And it makes them look better.You want to save lives? Make it illegal to talk on your cell phone while driving and actually inforce it use resources for something useful.

Illegal racing is the catalyst to the bigger picture. Our government shuns upon unlicensed or unregistered mass gatherings.

Illegalizing phone use in a car will not solve the problem. Just like ticketing spectators at illegal racing sites. It will not go away.
