me and my crew Fresh Intent, started a local event at the best buy parking lot every other Sunday. our selves and friends its usually about 20 cars. we start the meet at 8:30 until and may sometimes caravan to gandy. we hope more ppl decide to come out and have a good time. this a a family and friendly event, bring your kids if you like. no burning out, revving,or racing in the parking lot. you will be asked to leave politely. invite your friends come out and have a good time.

so here are the dates it will be held

october 9 2011
october 23 2011 (i cant make it but ppl will still be there)
november 6 2011
november 20 2011

every sunday night from 7-9 there is a meet held at off of gunn. please click link for details.
on the days there is no meet please feel free to attend this one, and also we will caravan and join there meet on a few of our meet days.

i will keep the first post updated with dates and will also come back to bump thread during the weeks the meet will be held.

I like the spirit of cooperation between you and Fast Acura.

You can do what you want.....
If your meet is every other week, and you post up something around mid-week
with a specific date, then people won't show up on the off-week. That works as
a gentle reminder and bumps you up in local events so people show on the right night.
Example: (bump for Sunday XX October) We're just talking, you can do what you want.....

....and I bet on the off-week, some of the people looking for a good meet will
head over to the Charlies Pizza Meet that Fast Acura mentioned in his link.

Best Buy is a good spot...next to I-275/Dale Mabry...easy to get to
from everywhere.....if I got it right.... LOL -Bob

General principles of keeping a meet going.
Based on an observation of meets that come and go
and discussions at a lot of the meets which I go to..............

If a person expects people to come out to a recurring weekly meet,
the meet organizer/sponsor needs to keep the thread active.

One way to keep a thread active is by posting every week, so people
know that at least the organizer/an associate/sponsor supports the meet and
will be there. When an organizer doesn't show, people don't show.

A second way to keep a thread active is by posting up pictures of people
and/or cars every week as a way of showing that the meet is still active.
At the Seffner meet, They had 30+ cars a week ago and they have started
posting pics.

If a meet happens every other week, someone needs to post
during the meeting week so people know if the meet is on or off.
When people show up a couple times and it is on the non-meet night, their
perception is that the meeting is no longer being held.....and they won't be back
until they see another posting from someone running the meet.

Examples of what I'm talking about are available only in face to face conversation.
