Want to race at Daytona Speedway?
SCCA Autox @ Daytona Speedway
Saturday, May 5 Practice
Sunday, May 6 Points Event
$30 SCCA Members and $45 Non Members (per day)
DLB Racing Calendar to register. Look on the calendar for the CFR event autocross event.
www.cfrsolo2.com for more info.
We race on the kart track and we really don't use many cones so its like a mini road race course. The SCCA Club Racers will also be out having thier race going on as well. It's really cool to watch them go up on the oval. While I am not much of a Nascar fan I have to say it is really cool to be on the infield racing.
Hope to see you out.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Chi Town,
Bump and Thanks for posting this.
I was in the speedway a few weeks ago and while I'm familiar with
the road course that goes down into the infield and back onto the oval for
the 24 hour races, where is the Kart track located?
Any maps? Thanks.-Bob

Great event.
We had 21 Novices on Saturday! That is great, we can't wait to see you come back and keep improving.
I had fun with the rex on Saturday our practice day who seemed to pull a lot of attention, something about me not getting off the throttle? lol
Sunday I took 2nd place with my 91 hatch, only 1.7 secs behind J Stein which is not bad considering his power and 1.2 in front of 3rd and he beat me by over a second in Starke. So I'll call it a good day.
To top it off I got to ride in the SCCA Pace Car on the 24 hour Rolex track. Those embankments are crazy! Maybe one day with my car ... lol.
Next event May 20th at Geneva. Check out www.cfrsolo2.com and if you have any questions about the rules search The Sports Car Club of America - Home and download the 2012 rule book from there.
