Bradenton/Sarasota Tuesday night meets!
You're doing good.
Looks like you have a good start getting your meet going.
I like the idea of having a place nearby where people can get something to eat.
I offered this to some other people starting a meet and I'm not leaving you out.
Some of it doesn't apply to you specifically, but other people will be reading your
thread who might find the info useful....one day when they try to start their own meet.-Bob
----------------------------
General principles of keeping a meet going.
Based on an observation of meets that come and go
and discussions at a lot of the meets which I go to..............
If a person expects people to come out to a recurring weekly meet,
the meet organizer/sponsor needs to keep the thread active.
One way to keep a thread active is by posting every week, so people
know that at least the organizer/an associate/sponsor supports the meet and
will be there. When an organizer doesn't show, people don't show.
A second way to keep a thread active is by posting up pictures of people
and/or cars every week as a way of showing that the meet is still active.
At the Seffner meet, They've had good regular turnouts and they have started
posting pics thanks to mild99civic and others. It's possible that pics of people
having a good time at a meet attracts other people. Here's some of his pics: https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/l...t-up-spot.html
If a meet happens every other week, someone needs to post
during the meeting week so people know if the meet is on or off.
When people show up a couple times and it is on the non-meet night, their
perception is that the meeting is no longer being held.....and they won't be back
until they see another posting from someone running the meet.
Examples of what I'm talking about are available in face to face conversation.
Keep us posted. See you at the meets and keep checking the first couple pages of
TR Local Events.-Bob

Plus u can still have the meet go on to whatever time u want.
I will address both issues:
Pictures are posted on our facebook page Tuesday night Market Meets | Facebook
The time is set this late so that the ones who work retail (most of us) can get there and hangout. I'd make it earlier; but unfortunately, I am one of the ones who works two jobs. So I am 8:15am-9:15pm. If I knew more people would come out earlier, I'd try and designate another mod/admin to show up earlier. I'd love to make it earlier as well; but seeing as how I work so late.. I'd hate to not be able to meet everyone that shows up.

Guys,
Most meets I go to start late. My schedule won't let me make all of them either.
We are all doing the best we can. It takes some effort to keep a meet going
and I'm greateful that with her schedule, Nicole is putting this together for
the people down south. -Bob
